Super cute book, rhyming and illustrations are both great。

I received an electronic copy from Sourcebooks Jabberwocky through Edelweiss+。So much to love about this book。 Richmond shares scenarios that challenge and encourage young readers to celebrate who they are and to push their limits。 I appreciate that she also offers affirmation that it is okay to rest and to quit too。 Soft colored illustrations wrap the text in supportive colors。 A must for families with young children。

7/25/21 - Decent book about being brave。 Not sure it is something I need to go find for my grandchild, but not bad。 3。5 rounded up for me。 Cute。

This is the best picture book about believing in yourself and being true to yourself that I've ever seen。 It's honest and respectful in a way that is very rare in this type of book。 This is the best picture book about believing in yourself and being true to yourself that I've ever seen。 It's honest and respectful in a way that is very rare in this type of book。 。。。more

This gentle story inspires readers to listen to themselves and strive for their dreams。 The comforting rhythm entrances while acknowledging emotions and encouraging growth mindset qualities。

This book is about being brave, and what you should be brave to do。 All the words that are indicative of what’s “brave” are put on the page in a different color。 I like this artistic choice because it highlights what the kids should be paying attention to。 This is a great example of a picture book due to the pictures telling a separate story from the words。 This book doesn’t have a single race dominating throughout the book, so it’s diverse, however a little too simplistic for me。 I would probab This book is about being brave, and what you should be brave to do。 All the words that are indicative of what’s “brave” are put on the page in a different color。 I like this artistic choice because it highlights what the kids should be paying attention to。 This is a great example of a picture book due to the pictures telling a separate story from the words。 This book doesn’t have a single race dominating throughout the book, so it’s diverse, however a little too simplistic for me。 I would probably leave this one out of my classroom。 。。。more

This is one of my favorite books to read with the children I nanny for。 The book helps teach kids that they need to be brave during any moment in their lives。 On v=every age it explains a different scenario that they need to be brave during。 This is important to give the children courage and a great life lesson to have。 I really like this book because it has beautiful artwork。 The book isn't necessarily a story that the children have to keep up with, it is just encouraging them and teaching them This is one of my favorite books to read with the children I nanny for。 The book helps teach kids that they need to be brave during any moment in their lives。 On v=every age it explains a different scenario that they need to be brave during。 This is important to give the children courage and a great life lesson to have。 I really like this book because it has beautiful artwork。 The book isn't necessarily a story that the children have to keep up with, it is just encouraging them and teaching them。 。。。more

Empowering, emboldening, comforting, and kind, I love this book so much that I got it for my nephew -- who is soon to be born! My wish for him is to grow up knowing that it is brave to experience every emotion without shame。。。 and to know that he is brave when pushing himself and when stepping back for self care。 There is bravery in both challenging yourself and in nurturing yourself。 I can't wait to read it to him。 😍♥️🥰 Be brave in your own unique way, sweet little one。 Empowering, emboldening, comforting, and kind, I love this book so much that I got it for my nephew -- who is soon to be born! This is a wonderful book with simple, inclusive illustrations, and it's a book my husband and I buy for friends that are having babies (along with "A Day In The Life of Marlon Bundo")。 "Be Brave Little One" is a simple rhyming story that encourages children to find the bravery in every day actions - from expressing your feelings to making someone feel welcome; from trying new things, to being brave to admit when those new things just haven't worked out。 My sister got this book for my son last Ch This is a wonderful book with simple, inclusive illustrations, and it's a book my husband and I buy for friends that are having babies (along with "A Day In The Life of Marlon Bundo")。 "Be Brave Little One" is a simple rhyming story that encourages children to find the bravery in every day actions - from expressing your feelings to making someone feel welcome; from trying new things, to being brave to admit when those new things just haven't worked out。 My sister got this book for my son last Christmas, and I genuinely cried as I read through the story。 Highly recommended story for any young child or toddler's shelf。 。。。more

It’s a very big world out there, with lots to do and see and experience。 So be brave: have the courage to explore, to invent, to create。 Have the courage to try new things, and to step away from them if they’re not for you。 Have to courage to dream whatever possible futures for yourself you desire, and to chase those dreams and make them real。 You have it in you, I know you do。 So find that courage and wear it proudly, and be brave。Very sweet。 It’s a simple sentiment and a fundamental lesson for young readers, and Richmond does a great job of mixing the classic themes and art style with a modern sensibility。 Endearing pen-and-watercolor drawings show children of different ethnicities, colors and genders and trying, doing, and achieving, showing that our differences do not define our potential。 The rhyme flows well and uses clear, uplifting language to inspire little bookworms。 The length is great, and JJ enjoyed it, so we can call this one Baby Bookworm approved!(Note: A copy of this book was provided to The Baby Bookworm by the publisher in exchange for an honest review。)Be sure to check out The Baby Bookworm for more reviews! 。。。more

'Be Brave Little One' by Marianne Richmond is the kind of blessing most of us wish for our children。 It is told with warmth and colorful pictures。The story wishes bravery for the child。 Bravery to try new things, and to try again when failures happen。 To be friendly to new people and look for new opportunities。 To bravely stand up and explore and return home。It's a cute inspiring story。 It wants to rhyme, but seems to misstep, and that always bugs me。 The pictures are really cute and the message 'Be Brave Little One' by Marianne Richmond is the kind of blessing most of us wish for our children。 It is told with warmth and colorful pictures。The story wishes bravery for the child。 Bravery to try new things, and to try again when failures happen。 To be friendly to new people and look for new opportunities。 To bravely stand up and explore and return home。It's a cute inspiring story。 It wants to rhyme, but seems to misstep, and that always bugs me。 The pictures are really cute and the message is a good one for young children。I received a review copy of this ebook from Sourcebooks Jabberwocky and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review。 Thank you for allowing me to review this ebook。 。。。more

Be Brave Little One is a beautifully illustrated book for children ages four and up。  My little one enjoyed the colorful illustrations and rhyme。  The theme is one that is so important for little ones。 To learn to be brave in all that they do。The watercolor illustrations show a diverse group of children, which I appreciate。  I would have liked to have seen differently-abled children represented as well but it was nice that racial diversity was celebrated。Overall, I appreciated what the author wa Be Brave Little One is a beautifully illustrated book for children ages four and up。  My little one enjoyed the colorful illustrations and rhyme。  The theme is one that is so important for little ones。 To learn to be brave in all that they do。The watercolor illustrations show a diverse group of children, which I appreciate。  I would have liked to have seen differently-abled children represented as well but it was nice that racial diversity was celebrated。Overall, I appreciated what the author was trying to accomplish。 This book encourages children to have courage when they try something new。d。  To have the bravery to be true to their own self。 In a world where conformity is the norm, I appreciate a book that encourages a courageous approach to life。My child's thoughts:"I like this book。""I am a very brave girl!""I like the pretty pictures。""Read it again?!"A complimentary copy of this book was provided by Netgalley。 I was not required to write a positive review, and have not been compensated for this。 All opinions are my own。This review was originally posted on A Simply Enchanted Life 。。。more
